Now\, he's back with The Cold Sweat Sextet\, which salutes Brown's timeless songs and percolating grooves without sacrificing the sophistication or improvisational fire of jazz. \n  The sextet features two first-rate saxophonists\, San Diego jazz patriarch Daniel Jackson (who counts Ray Charles and Buddy Rich among his previous musical partners) and Azar Lawrence (who has collaborated with everyone from Miles Davis and McCoy Tyner to Busta Rhymes and Earth\, Wind & Fire).
