- 5th Grade Integration Program
Serving over 6,000 Children a year, WorldBeat Center teaches Drumming, World History, Organic Gardening, African History.
- Toddlers Drum Classes:
For
over 12 years WorldBeat Center with its Master African Drum
instructor, Nana Yaw Asiedu, has taught Right Brain, Left Brain
Coordination & Team Building to toddlers (ages 5 months to 12
years). This Class happens every Tuesday at 3:30pm
- House of Blues Foundation Children's Drumming Classes:
This program explores the history, art and music of African Music and
demonstrates the vast influence on contemporary music and
culture. Programs draw upon the universal language of music and art to
encourage creative expression and cultural understanding.
The International House of Blues Foundation & WorldBeat Cultural Center brings together people of
diverse backgrounds in an atmosphere that encourages mutual respect and
understanding.
- WorldBeat Center After School Program:
With
Music & Arts being cut from the schools, WorldBeat Center has taken
the initiative to bring it's World Class instructors into the City
Schools. This year we provided 4 classes a week in 8 schools in Lemon
Groove School District. This program is very successful in providing
youth with entertaining after school programs which in turn lowers
youth violence and gangs.
